What is the Difference Between Synthetic Oil and Mineral Oil?

Synthetic based oils are chemically obtained oils. They are produced in order to provide lubrication in applications where mineral oils obtained in the traditional way cannot be sufficient in performance. Synthetic based oils provide superior protection at high temperatures compared to minerals, easier fluidity and pumpability at low temperatures, more stable film strength under extreme pressure and longer change interval under difficult operating conditions.
